Kyle Harrison
Sheriff Kyle Harrison was sworn in as Sheriff of the SCSO on August 8, 2025, after steadily rising through the ranks with a reputation for hard work and integrity. He began as a deputy, later serving as a lieutenant under Sheriff Rangers from May to July, before being promoted to captain on May 7, 2025. His drive and commitment soon led him to the rank of colonel, where he continued to earn respect for his leadership.
As sheriff, Harrison is guided by the same values that shaped his career. Honesty, fairness, and service. He believes in leading from the front, building trust with the community, and supporting his deputies in their mission to protect and serve.
Undersheriff
Oscar Hakuna
Undersheriff Oscar Hakuna joined the SCSO on May 18, 2025, quickly establishing himself as a highly capable and dependable member of the department. Demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and leadership from the outset, Hakuna advanced through the ranks with consistent excellence.
Recognized for his unwavering dedication, organizational skill, and ability to adapt across multiple divisions, Hakuna exemplifies the values of service, teamwork, and accountability. As Undersheriff, he works closely with Sheriff Harrison to strengthen the SCSO and the communities it serves, embodying the highest standards of law enforcement leadership.
Captain
Angel Vasquez
Captain Angel Vasquez has been a driving force within the SCSO since joining on May 5, 2025. Just ten days later, his dedication and performance earned him the rank of corporal, followed shortly by the Teamwork and Service Award on May 17, 2025. His commitment to excellence carried him forward, and on July 5, 2025, he was promoted to lieutenant after playing a key role in shaping the Traffic Enforcement Division while also contributing across every department.
Recognized for his leadership, versatility, and constant dedication to the agency’s mission, Vasquez was appointed Captain on November 11, 2025. He continues to embody the values of service, teamwork, and accountability, working alongside Sheriff Harrison and Undersheriff Oscar Hakuna to strengthen the SCSO and the community it serves.
